Selection Process
• Leadership/Elder Team will select applicants to interview
• Preferred candidate will be reviewed further by some servant ministry leaders.
• Preferred candidate will complete a Personality-Job Match assessment.
• Candidate recommended to the congregation per church bylaws:
Article VI. Selection and Termination of a Minister
Section A. The hiring of a Preaching/Senior Minister shall be done in the following manner. The elders will select a candidate to recommend to the congregation. The candidate will then preach one Sunday and meet the congregation. The candidate will then be submitted to the congregation for affirmation. A candidate will be affirmed if no more than 15% of the membership submits to the elders, in writing, within 3 weeks of being submitted to the congregation, an objection to hiring the candidate as Preaching/Senior Minister. The termination of a minister’s service shall be the sole responsibility of the elders.
